As Senior Staff Architect, Ray Welter provides technical oversight for all projects from Conceptual Design through Construction Management.
A California State licensed Architect, Ray brings to WDA 21 years of experience in the field of architecture, with extensive experience in the hospitality and multi-family fields working with San Francisco based SB Architects (Sandy Babcock) and Palo Alto based Hill Glazier Architects. Ray has served as Project Architect/Project Manager for various hospitality projects with clients and operators such as Ritz Carlton, Marriott, Renaissance Hotels, Four Seasons and Joie de Vivre hospitality. Ray has also managed several high end multi-family mixed use projects in the Bay Area, winning a Gold Nugget award in 2004.
Ray received his degree from California State University, Long Beach, where he explored his passion for the arts in Photography, Printmaking and Music. When time permits, he also enjoys restoring vintage cars and motorcycles.
